This book is a game changer and I can't recommend it enough. The author's focus on psychology and connecting with the readers is fantastic. A wonderful resource for any diabetic, or the guardian of a young diabetic looking for ways to help them cope.
This book is a wonderful resource for coping and thriving with type 1 diabetes. It is accessible, easy to understand and contains great examples. Even better is that the author has a personal narrative about his own relationship over the years of living with type 1 dm. So many are struggling with burnout as we move out of the pandemic, so would highly recommend this book (and his podcast!)
Dr. Mark gives a truthful, relatable, and comprehensive guide to taking hold of the most important part of T1D management, the emotional/mental aspect of how we cope and live with T1D! I will recommend this book to every patient I work with!
As a mom of a child with Type 1 Diabetes and a person who struggles with anxiety, I found this book extremely helpful. The book is written for people with diabetes, but I found it extremely relevant for me and I was able to apply a lot of the strategies to my situation. The writing style was conversational and relatable, an easy read for sure. Definitely worth checking out for anyone dealing with negative emotions around T1D!
Mark literally took my thoughts and put them in a book! Answered questions I didn’t know I had! Its good if you’re a type 1 diabetic or just know someone with T1D! Definitely recommend!
